American Red Cross BLS provider for healthcare provider-first time or renewal

BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

This class format is OSHA, Government, and Workplace Compliant, with the same certification as an in-person classroom.

The American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child, and infant patients. This class is taught in a blended learning format, and the online portion (accessed via mobile, desktop, or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the instructor-led skills session.

This is a blended learning course. Blended learning course is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.

Once the online or e-learning course is completed, an instructor will reach out to you to schedule a hand-on skills session.
You will receive a full Red Cross BLS Provider certification valid for two years.
You will get an email from the Red Cross with your card attached after completing the hand-on skill session.
